This is about the game Drakengard. First released in 2003 on the PlayStation 2, Drakengard has since become a classic for its deranged atmosphere and bold storytelling. The NieR series is probably more well-known, but this is where it all started.
You play as Caim, a warrior-prince who lives primarily for revenge. Making a symbiotic pact with the red dragon, Angelus, he loses his ability to speak, but derives great power as he strides towards protecting his sister, Furiae, from the clutches of the mighty Empire.
